The hacker under the nickname X ~ zakaria hacked the official website of the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy and demanded a ransom in bitcoins. Information about this appeared on the page of the department.
The attacker’s message says that all information on the state portal was encrypted. “If you are looking for a way to recover your files, do not waste your time! Nobody can decrypt your files without our special service, “wrote the burglar.
In order for the agency’s employees to return access to the site, the hacker invited them to pay ransom in bitcoins. For their “services” for decryption, the attacker asked for 0,1 BTC (almost a thousand dollars).
Otherwise, the attacker promised to delete the entire contents of the page within 24 hours. At the time of writing, the Ministry of Energy had less than eight hours to pay the ransom – this is indicated by the countdown timer, which the hacker placed on the left side of the hacked page.

Malicious code penetrated corporate networks through a phishing email containing a malicious link. When the link was activated, the virus blocked the computer and demanded a ransom of $ 300 in bitcoins to restore access to it.
