On May 22, photographer Ingholls installed his camera to shoot the launch of SpaceX Falcon 9. And then watch the video.
The launch of Ingolls took off, but the bushes in which he installed the apparatus caught fire. The martyr of rocket photography closed the shutter for the last time, but fortunately, the data card has survived, and now we can see how it all happened.
Ingalls says that the camera was outside the perimeter of security, moreover, the photographer had six devices installed, and this one was the farthest. But the distance did not save him when the fire started.
Now the camera has become a museum exhibit and is on display at NASA headquarters in Washington.
