Equipped with a new QNAP network storage a compartment for storage Tandberg RDX

QNAP has announced two interesting new products — network storage with the designation TVS-882BR-RDX and TVS-882BRT3-RDX.

Depending on the modification devices are equipped with Quad-core Intel Core i5-7500 (3,4–3,8 GHz) or Core i7-7700 (3,6–4,2 GHz). The amount of RAM DDR4 are respectively 16 and 32 GB. If necessary, the size of the RAM can be expanded up to 64 GB.

Allowed to use eight drives size 3.5 or 2.5-inch Serial ATA 3.0. Additionally, you can install two solid-state module M. 2 2242/2260/2280/22110.

The main feature of the new products — built-in 5.25-inch docking station Tandberg Data 8813-RDX. It is designed to work with Tandberg RDX cartridges — removable hard drives in a special protected case. This provides an additional possibility for backup information.

Storage can be equipped with cards that have one PCIe Gen3 x8 slot and two PCIe Gen3 x4. In the case of series devices TVS-882BRT3-RDX comes with two cards, each of which provides two high-speed Thunderbolt port 3 with a bandwidth up to 40 GB/s.

The set of interfaces includes four network port RJ45 GbE, five USB 3.0 ports (one on front panel), three HDMI 1.4 b and audiopaste.
